Will any one please me tell what has happened to Wonko, further does he really exist? I have a theory that Wonko is really a group of people who all write under the name Wonko and for some reason or other they have stopped answering their postings. Does anyone have any theories of the existence of Wonko?

Well, I am alive and well, thank you for your kind inquiry! And I assure you that I am only one person - maybe that will change if you hit me with your handbag. 
Maybe I'll give H2G2 another try. But I'm still sad that many of the bright people are gone.

No, I won't hit you with my handbag. I havae heard some men enjoy being hit by women with handbags, ie also hit with a whip.
