If he won't communicate by conventional means, tape a notice on the back of the bathroom door. He has to sit down sometime...

Actually, we managed to talk quite civilly and meaningfully last night, the net result being that I am free to look for somewhere new to live as soon as I like.

Excellent, is he taking over your part of the mortgage?

Blues Shark - For people who like this sort of thing, then this is just the sort of thing they'll like Posted Jul 11, 2003
He will pay all the bills for the time being. I'm not in a position to come off the mortgage - though I am in no doubt whatsoever that he can cover the money needed (particularly as he is talking about getting a lodger), but convincing our mortgage lenders of that fact would be considerably more difficult.
So, although I won't be paying out any money for the place, I will, on paper at least, still be a co-owner of the property. Which given the shameful rise in property prices in the south-east recently, may yet work to my advantage.

Can I suggest you work out some sort of written argeement on that front? I can forsee all sorts of nastiness lurking should either of you wish to sell the place in the future

That had occurred to me but I will leave that for a bit. I don't want to look like I don't trust him.

Mmm. I'd still make sure you get it sorted before too long- a little bit of awkwardness now could prevent long legal battles and mess in the future.

Indeed so. I am aware of the potential pitfalls. I also know that for all my moaning about my flatmate he is not unaware of the debt he owes me in some regards. We will work it out.

People on pills (in my experince) talk to other people on pills but not to peiople who aren't on pills.
The accuracy or otherwise of the statement is irrelavent. It was his response that infuriated.

As a really talkative person anyway, I will happily not stop babbling to anyone (on pills or not) for ages...
I know they're bad. Which is why Im banning myself apart from holidays, festivals, and special occasions. Im far too weak and far to suited to drugs.

But they would be bad for me, I could *very* easily become a pillhead/cokehead/substitute-drug-herehead if I didn't keep *very* tight controls upon my hard drug use.
