Strangely, I have just left a message on the thread about venues. I personally don't think the Louise is the best choice in the world - the beer is rank (in my experience) and althought he ambience is nice, i think it is small for our needs.
I really think the Lord Moon on the Mall is worth thinking about, though.
As to attending, well, thats in the balance at the mo'. Put me down as a definite maybe, I think.

I'm still waiting on the Bell Book and Candle at the moment; I was having concerns* about the Louise myself; the room is upstairs; I guess no bar upstiars so everyone would have to keep trailing up and down, plus it sounds like a failry small room (says it seats around 40 for meals, on one review I read), and I got the idea from some stuff I dredged up on the net, that it won't let the room be used for private functions now plus, as you say, the beer Moon on the Mlal; that was where we started off on the photo scavenger hutn was it not? did/do they have a back room, or is it just big enough for us, I remember it being rahter large, and I think someone mentioned somewhere it had like a raised level bit that we might be able to persuede them to reserve for us maybe I'll add you to the atendee list then

Oi you git BS, you *will* be attending the meet, otherwise I'll sulk.

I'm not attending any meet where there is a contemplation of re-enacting scenes of Dr Who...Even If I don't attend that meet, you will of course be invited to the alternative Saturday afternoon show, which is a tour of Borough Market (foodies delight) and a trip to a nearby hostelry for *proper* beer.
And as for frightening the locals, well there's no chance of that, is there? That part of the City is deserted of a Saturday evening, hence why the pub is usuaaly shut a Saturday Night.

Excellent idea for the afternoon. Cultured as I am, I can think of better things to do on a Saturday than wander around art museums.
Mm, yes, of course it is. Silly me . Someone just donated a very large supply of coffee to our office, including instantExpresso

We're excellent, thanks for asking.
The majority of the move is now done, just the broadband and satellite to go in, plus one or two bits and pieces of furniture to be collected/built.
Yourselves?

We're good. After 18 montsh of doing bugger all house/garden-wise, we're starting with a vengance, with one of two options in mind:
1) We get the place sorted and decide we like it
2) We still don't feel happy in the area and flog it.
We'll see. I'd like to move back to the area of Burton we were in before, but that's a tad expensive. This area is... not terribly nice. Well, you've been here.
Broadband .
So what happened to the FM, or is he under the patio.
I'm sure you would 2legs...

When my Dad put our patio in , we burried someone underneath it, it just seemed the correct thing to do somehow Broadband is cool..... but I still want something faster than this, I'm getting too used to it, and NTL don't I think do anything faster

Flatmate is still in the old place. We are strangely getting on much better now we are not in each others faces all the time...
Broadband is fast enough for our purposes. Not as if we downlaod movies or anything. Unlike my mate Ed who does a gigabyte of downloading every night...

Kerr_Avon - hunting stray apostrophes and gutting poorly parsed sentences Posted Nov 23, 2004
That'll be because neither of you no have to put up with the other's personal habits, dubious or otherwise.
Bugger me, what does he do? Download the beeb's entire output for a year each night?

We don't download much now, less its updating software virus definitions etc used to download a fair bit of music till I discovered that was wehre teh weekely couple hundred trojans were origionating from just like it if pages on here loaded a bit quiccker, but that is probably less to do with the broadband and more to do with the BBC servers

If you can think of a film, Ed has almost certainly seen it first on his pc. The same will go for most cult tv series. He hasn't bought a omic in five years but is familiar with the major mythologies of nearly every title published in the last twenty years.
Basically, he needs to get out more.
Speed isn't really an issue, but there may be two of us using the connection at any one time, so broadband resolves those types of conflicts.

He has one. Amanda (known as Bob - don't ask) is a very fine woman and has stood by for longer than most marriages last. Seven years and counting...

No, i think she just turns a blind eye providing he makes time to take her to the pub and generally be sociable once in a while...

Pretty much like Bruce then. Although I did recently get whined at for some of my less-sociable tendancies. Apparently sitting at the bar reading Fortean Times and grunting when anyway speaks at me is not acceptable behaviour.
