I don't know if you've heard, but it seems someone wants to do a remake of Wicker Man, with Nicholas Cage. Makes your blood run cold doesn't it? 
A guy named Neil LaBute wants to do it, and apparently move the story from England to America. They just can't keep their hands to themselves ehh?

Funny you should mention that - if you look at the bottom of the Wicker Man guide entry, somebody posted about this...thing there yesterday...
I am not amused, but as Jimster said, Cage is the kiss of death for movies atm, dso it'll never happen.
