If Jim Lee (and not J. Scott Cambell) did Danger Girl it might be.
Might be your server I think, seemed fine to me last night.
Look for me wearing a Banzai Girl t-shirt at the meet.

That's Ok, N7 will be back shortly to tell us how he has had dinner with both of them and they are bestest bosom buddies in the whole world.

And here's some excellent webjunk animation that has kept me chuckling for a while (navigate through all the short films using the 'next' button - they get better and better):

I shall save those pleasures for home perusal.
So, spill the beans - what were these less advisable purchases?

NexusSeven Posted Nov 8, 2002
Hurm - can't remember too many titles off the top of my head that I thoroughly regretted buying, but Elektra was one (just to see what Greg Rucka was going to do with the title, you understand. ) and some of Oni's output recently hasn't particularly appealed to my tastes...
It's when I read other people's purchases down the pub that I realise I tend to buy the good stuff - I know people who buy Spider-Woman and Marville, fer gawd's sake!

Well, now you know someone who buys Banzai Girl.
Seriously, yes Mar-Ville. What is *that* all about?

NexusSeven Posted Nov 8, 2002
The whole 'U-Decide!' fiasco (ie a supposed contest to see who out of Peter David on Captain Marvel, Bill Jemas on Marville and Joe Quesada on Ultimate Adventures could sell the most copies) was nothing more than a canny marketing ploy to flog more copies of Captain Marvel, and get a few cheap shots in at DC's (and Paul Levitz in particular's) expense at the same time.
Marville was an absolute warthog's arse of a comic, and I pity the retailers that got burnt by preordering loads of copies of the first few issues without prior knowledge of what a load of rubbish they were buying...

Ah, so Quseada's brave new marvel is already descending nto farce and stupidity.
I must say, I've been underwhelmed by the whole venture, apart from the bit where they gave Ben Dunn a six month shot on 'Mangaverse'. Quite the best thing they've published in years.

The Doom story in the short-lived Mangaverse title was great. I was less impressed by the Galactus/Captain Marvel one, though...
Marvel have been having a rough old time of it nowadays - first Stan Lee threatening to sue for 10% of the profits from Spider-Man & Daredevil (but, oddly enough, neglecting to mention Ditko or Kirby ), then the court ruling that Marvel owns Captain America was overturned, or somesuch... What fun! What larks!

Well, Stan never claimed to be a charity did he, bless him. He's a business man.
I liked the Marvel story, but mostly for Dunn's pencils, I must admit. There must be more in the pipeline, I think as he is effectively abandoning Ninja High School with 100 ( for the second time ).
I liked the Spidey movie though.
