i've come over all kate bush, all windy moors.....wuthering away like mad...
so you braved the descent...well you and your fella...most frightening film i've seen in a looong while. if it can frighten me i'm impressed, not that i'm a tough nut, far from it..too sensitive is my trouble..but i am rather immune to horror...too many videos in the 80s.

we went to see creep a few months back and thought it was chronic...could have been good but missed it somehow... we have to plan any above 12a rated films carefully as we then have to organise baby sitter....surprised war of the worlds was a 12a...that was pretty fightening i thought...

Same here, we saw the descent at 230 in the afternoon so i could send my son to my mums for a few hours!

I thought it was pretty good and did jump a few times! Ive been a big horror fan since my early teens so im pretty immune too unless its psychological then i can get really scared seem to be getting slightly wimpier in my old age too cant watch scary stuff alone in the house any more!

i've also noticed i can't tolerate certain things as i get older... only film i had to walk out of was reservoir dogs...got to the torture scene of the cop with all that happy slappy music....nasty...couldn't watch any more.

with a lot of horror films there is the good and bad fight...so we handle that all hoping the goodies win..good over evil..but as you say some films that glorify violence just for the sake of it...i find those a bit harder to swallow these days..

anyhow, has your son just broken off school? friday was my girls last day but wildamethysts youngun has already been off 3 weeks..

yeah they broke up friday early..6 weeks of hell arrrrgh!

I've actually always liked gory films..(not too real violence though more imaginary stuff ala stephen king or clive barker) its more things that are creepy..like say the shining that scare me!

i love stephen king have read most of his stuff....i'm eagerly awaiting the release of desperation which stars one of my heart throbs ron perlman as the the cop entragian. most of his stuff is good versus evil he must be quite religious in his own way.

only clive barker i know of is hell thing...arrggh can't remember now...hell raiser..got it.

they usually make a real mess of film adaptations of kings stuff so ill prolly give it a miss

know what you mean, they never stick to the book..but i must see it to see ron perlman and his delicious accent[hear that not see it]

i letched over him big time as jack sparrow..yummy..even my 8 yr old daughter fancies him and will smith.

Josh likes Kate winslett and kylie minogue! Hes gonna be a right little perv!

well like summer he certainly likes variety...least they are not bogged down by 'type' jonny and will...kate and kylie shows they have diverse taste...

im sure the stereotypes will get to them eventually

they'll go thru the types probably though first... when i think back to adoring david soul [hutch] not knocking him now.. just how much my preferences have changed... one man i've liked all the way thru... clint eastwood.

A little before my time i think as long as josh doesnt decide any girl/woman over a size 12 is fat ill be happy with him!

god forbid you let that happen.. i hate sizism... why some men must only date size 10s is beyond me.. i mean marilyn monroe was about a 14/ 16 and she has been considered one of all times greatest beautys...

i'm overweight nearly always have been, but my hubby loves me now as much as when we 1st met and i was a lot thinner then...i've got a photo now of me and hubby on the h2g2 photo freinds site...its run by azahar and i'm the very latest entry..galxy babe and bassman are on the same page. fame at last

I saw that pic earlier on today its a nice one! Theres of me rather drunk n looking a bit like the mona lisa on page 15 i think..that one galaxy babe got of me n ged was awful! i look asleep n he looks like a psychpath!

no worries my guy looks psycopathic too..axe murderer springs to mind, but this is the man who goes fishing but can't kill the fish, lets them go again...and who cried when one of summers guinea pig babies died [was a runt]

i don't like having photo taken...i allowed that one as daughter had just straightened my hair and i had make up on....i only usually wear make up for work....and only a smidge of it then.

nonsense you are not too ugly..you have to overcome that insecurity.. do as i do and keep telling yourself that you are beautiful and someone loves you...

i find it funny how low a self opinion most women have...even the...dare i say... the skinny bi**es.... my hubbys sister has a low self esteem..even at size 10 she felt she was fat...so where can you go from there... i'd be overjoyed to be a size 14 again... yet she would probably be suicidal at that size...its all relative.

Id love to see a size 16 again at the mo..or even an 18! I cant belive I used to think I was fat in a 12
