h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Hi there! It's been a few weeks since I've seen you around- I've been inundated with projects at work and have unsubbed from pretty much all convos around except for friends' journals (I ought to add you so we can shoot movie recommendations back and forth...)

Anyway, Netflix finally sent us "Little Otik", and we watched it last night. I've never seen a Svankmajer film I didn't enjoy, and this was no exception. We LOVED it! Thanks so much for beinging it to my attention.

i liked that sort of fast frame cinematography for the early shots of otik..... i don't mind trying something new out.. i went for that solely on the front cover and small write up...

i took a chance on the aristocrats too and hated it!!!! some you win some you lose.. its not easy getting subtitled films out with my husband being mildly dyslexic.. but he seems to manage ok... got him to watch amelie last week and he loved it too.....

i don't go on h2g2 so much anymore only thread i keep following is this one.... the penis thread was getting a bit boring to tell the truth.. same old same old... but films do at least vary, and you either love em or hate em....

Still waiting for "Desperation", to see if I can record it for you... wasn't it supposed to be on sometime in June? Hopefully it won't be on cable. I don't get cable- we don't have time.

don't know what is happening with desperation.. they keep changing the release date.. don't stress too much about recording it they'll be bound to release it to dvd as they do all stephen king films... i mean i've had to wait this long.... i hope they do justice to the book...

don't want to give too much away but early on bad cop kills a little girl which was shocking reading.. wonder if they'll keep that in???

shes nothing to do with the rest of the story but unusual for a child to be killed.....

we saw the da vinci code last night but i still haven't read the book... i am taking it to spain with me to read at my leisure early june... well deserved vacation i'll put my report about the film on the movie thread....
