That list attributes 87'ish thousand to Canada, and in simplest terms, ... We haven't even 55K in uniform, all ranks, colours and trades. Let alone the count that can provide useful service out of country. Having worn the uniform when the count was nearing 100K, and still working for them, I notice such discrepancies.

Nawww, I have no interest in diddling Wiki entries. Particularly on something that can be so changeable.

My sources are the various "Personnel Newsletters" and the like that pass through my work-shop monthly, and the occassional 'state-of-the-union' talks we all must attend periodically. Majors and Colonels are no more entertaining now than 30 years ago when I first stepped into the military.

If the number fluctuates so much, then couldn't it be more up-to-date than your information?

Over the decades, the number changes ... always diminishing. The military is something easy to starve when federal costs need shaving. "Politically safe".
