H2G2 is what the Internet intended to be but wasn't.
Did you see a TV programme on yesterday? It was all about why you shouldn't watch TV. The opening line was: "I'm here to convince you that this is the last TV programme you'll ever watch". And it has been, so far, for me. We put the TV in the shed.
Interesting that the BBC shows the programme...

I thought about going with out TV
'cus I know I watch a load
of junk that I could do with out
and I would have loads more time
to do constructive things.
I thought maby I could give up just the
crap but it dosent work like that dose
it its a kind of all or noffin arangement

Yeah well it is possible to survive without TV. I miss some things, but not others. There's no contant background noise any more so the radio is on more often. It's not all that good for me though because I just use the computer more. But I do read more books. Junk books more often than not, it has to be said (thrillers), but then books are more prestigious than television anyway for some reason.
You should try buying a copy of the Radio Times each week and only putting on the TV to watch interesting stuff. That doesn't really work though because it tempts you to watch more..
Nope, the only thing to do is take that hammer and....
