Good morning
Galaxy Babe - eclectic editor Posted Aug 25, 2005
Hello, Lord Wolfden.
I am writing an entry on static electric discharges and wondered if you have any problems you might like to tell me about, for the entry.
I've already covered cars, supermarket trollies and hospital transport.

Do you have problems (shocks from different surfaces, etc.) with your wheelchair?
Thanks.

They get a shock if they touch you? Or the wheelchair? Can you tell me exactly what happens? Do you feel the shock at all?
Shock
Lord Wolfden - Howl with Pride Posted Aug 26, 2005
Well after driving around of the shiney flooring the static builds up and say if my wife touches my hand or shoulder she and I get a shock it is quite funny and only hurts for a milli second
Shock

Hi
I get shocked when I wheel round a trolley in Tescos'.
Most annoying.
The tips of my little fingers get really sore, and I even complained to the management.
Apparently it's "not common" but that doesn't help me.
From the people I've been asking round, *most* have had some form of static electric shock, so that makes it *common* not *uncommon*.
Did you read the entry up at PeerReview it's not too sciency, I promise. I tried to write it so the layman can understand it, and anyway, I'm not science-minded.
If you read it what did you think of it, and do you think there's anything more I could add? (especially about your wheelchair problems)
Shock
