STRANGELY STRANGE ( A brain on a spring ) Posted Dec 21, 2005
...hope he is alright, as much as I find him irritating at times, he has a chest infection and is on anti-biotics, it is worse if your not mobile, chest infections, that is why he has a trachiotomy fitted, for such times.

I think the powers have given him an ultimatum. He is on thin ice.

Lost Soldier Three-----Merry Christmas! (watch my friends list grow) Posted Dec 21, 2005
I have visited his MSN groups and he has said:
'Sadly my posting on h2g2 has been restricted Which basically means I have been 'banned' but feel free to contact me via MSN Messenger or Yahoo Messenger'
This may explain his absence as it was posted yesterday.

...what does restricted mean?
...and if he has been banned, can someone please explain why I don't feel happy now, however much he irritated me at times....strewth, I might even E.Mail him!

It may feel sad now, but I think it will do alot of good to H2G2 as a community.
We will all miss him, despite his quirks.

...strange isn't it, people moaned about WJH thread, but also said it was dead when he wasn't there....I am going to E.Mail him now.

While we tend not to discuss individual moderation decisions onsite, I have to clarify that Lord Wolfden has not been banned.

I've just had an email from him & replied. No, he has not been banned. Hopefully the "time out" will give everyone a chance to calm down a bit. Meanwhile, no doubt the will carry on swimming as if nothing has happened!

C'mon guys, lets not be so hypocritical here. Look back at what we have all written on this thread alone. If he has gone for the time being then lets at least concentrate on things getting back to normal. What happened to him is his own fault and none of us should feel guilty or bad about it.
I suggest we all leave him be until he returns. Space will do us all good.

Is he taking a timeout session then, for how long?
......thank God he hasn't taken a turn for the worst chest wise, it was never a personal thing about him, just trying to make it better for everyone, and if anyone had read his history on Muscular Dystrophy then they would know why i was concerned about his chest......as a bit of a positive thing for him, read The Post due out tommorrow about his life history, written by him, with just a fraction on encouragement from me (not help).

Yes; he has also contributed on other threads concerning the problems those of us who have physical problems face; which is one reason i was a bit upset to see him labelled a "housebound geek"!
zdt*also housebound but can't claim status yet*

, this is LW's thread, he started it and some of you ended it, those who have a grief with him why did you post here in the first place.
Cant see the logic of it, if he posts to the main threads and you have a problem then say what you have to say......but whats the point of having a go on his thread
Just ignore him if you dont want to talk to him
One of his famous lines is 'life is too short', and i totally agree with LW.

Actually, this thread was started by fords to ask Wolfie a question about his behavior... a question which he ignored.

A minor correction there, BK. This thread wasn't started by him, but by others seeking to help him fit in more sociably. Unfortunately, it's always been to no avail ...

Actually BK, I believe someone else started it as a plea for sanity.
Ignoring someone like him is easier said than done I'm afraid.
He has gone for the time being and its all probably for the best. Whether or not he is disabled does not alter the fact that he was a difficult man at times.
I hate the fact that just because someone has an affliction that instantly makes them a saint. It is not the case, they should be treated the same as anyone else.
Ah, whats the point in saying any of this? I'll most likely just be labelled either an instigator or a heartless so and so.
To Hell with it.

BK, I understand what you are saying, and I have always tried to help him, but one good thing about this thread is it keeps most of the arguements of main H2G2, and in general, it doesn't spread out of here on rest of his personal space, which is good (and I did say in general). Wofie has made lots of improvements which should not be forgotten,` not least of all his MD guide entry and keeping out of WJH thread, and a lot of others.
