Firstly LW you don't know if it was Reef who yikes it and secondly, for the person who doesn't know what IMHO means it litterally means In My Humble Opinion. It tends to be used by people who believe it adds credibility to their argument and is also often an indicator that said person feels that their oppinion is anything but humble. It has a counterpart, IYHO, In Your Humble Opinion, which is often used by the same people as IMHO. It is normally used to indicate that 'your' opinion is a darn sight more humble than their's and in the belief that it weakens 'your' argument.
In recent years these have become corrupted by missunderstanding and the 'H' is ocasionaly meant to mean honest

I didn't think it'd be you Reef. Also LW txt words and/or phrases may be in common usage in other places, but you shouldn't really use them on here. This is not a 'chat site' you should type out words in full, or as close as you can get, if'n ya'll don't know how to spell it then you may miss stuff out, but try anyway, someone may correct the spelling for you

While Text/Hacker/Message speak isn't against house rules it's use is discouraged

Bugger, wrong button in' new computers *Mutter*
And you will be told so, so don't take it as carte blanche to use it because it's not a house rule and when someone complains about it you can't say "It's not against the house rules"

Things like 'IMHO' and 'lol' you'll probably get away with, but there are a small number of people on here who will go spare at you for putting things like that, I know I had one really lay into me for it when I was a newbie. At least you don't type all in txt, I've seen people who do, and then go off on one when you ask them not to, or there are people who type everything in uppercase, the're going to a very special level of hell, a level normally reserved for child molesters and those folks who talk at the theatre.

sorry but IMO/IMHO are commonly used here, along with a few others.
Although text talk such as C U l8er, ASL etc. are very much frowned upon.
