Hi! They call me Mirage.
I read your story and I enjoyed it very much. There's not much you can do about your kitty's behavior, because that's the nature of the beast. I know. Perhaps if you stare at the Evil One long enough she (or he) will back down. Let them know who is the boss (so to speak).
Why don't you invite over the people you dislike? Introduce them to your new secret weapon. I'm sure the cat will take care of them for you. hee-hee!! Perhaps, kitty's nasty nature will come in handy one day.
By the way, what type of cat is this offensive one? I already like this one. Is Evil really its name? I'd like to know more.
I have a lovely, ferocious little tiger! She's mostly black and tan with a smattering of grey and such, gorgeous smoky circles on both her sides. Her name is Mojo. She loves to be as nasty as she can be.
She also tends to act like a dog sometimes. She comes to you when you call her. Cats can be bad, but you gotta love them for it!
Please tell us more about your cat. I'm sure you have some more great stories to tell.
Take care.

Hi! Mirage
You say your cat comes when you call it, well I can better that.
When my cat Makalu isn't being evil she likes to play fetch with a cotton real! She will chase after it when thrown, play with it for about 30seconds then bring it back and drop it on my knee. We have repeated this for up to half an hour in one go! Have you ever heard of a cat do this?
As you have probably realised by now it is a female! She is named after the mountain called Makalu in Nepal (4th highest in the world at 8481 metres). Lulu, as I tend to call her when she is being nice (expletives when not), is grey with black stipes and patches of ginger and a white belly.
One of her latest evil exploits was to climb up my step mothers leg, with full penatration of claws into the flesh, when my dad and her came to visit. Made me as I don't like her much. Hopefuly she wont call again!
Oh and the staring thing doesn't work she just winked at me, licked her lips and proceeded to run up the curtains!

Hi there MCiE, we have three cats, non evil but certainly all individuals. Georgie the youngest is blind and deaf but with a little help has a great quality of life. The newest member is Tigger, well he just tiggers about and when he wants fussing you'd better comply and finally grandma of the feline members, Chloe, a wise sage who appears to ponder on the meaning of life 24 / 7.

Would you like to swap cats?
Only joking your cats sound v-nice, but life just wouldn't be the same without 666 being scratched into my body every night by the evil one I call Makalu.
Besides it would be an un-fair swap evil for angel!

My ex-cat Ragnarok (may he rest in peace with lots of catnip and a ball of yarn) was in the habit of playing fetch with a foam rubber ball. he would bring it to me and wait for me to throw it down the hall. his favorite was for me to throw it at an angle so it would bounce back and forth between the walls as it went down the hall. This provided a more challenging target. After catching up to and batting the ball around a bit, he would sink his teeth into it and bring it back to me, dislodging it from his teeth with a paw. He also liked hide and seek. I would hide in a room and call him once or twice, then he would leave his perch in the livingroom and come down the hall looking for me. When he finds me, I jump out and scare the bejeebers out of him, and he runs back to the livingroom. then I go to a different room and do it again, no matter how scared he acts when I jump out, he always comes looking again. He wasn't realy evil, although he did like to crawl under his favorite chair when anyone sat in it and attack the bottom of the seat violently. This scared quite a few people who didn't know him. And the innocent yet smug expression he wore when they looked under the chair( after jumping about 10 feet from the noise and vibration of his attack)said it all.
"I'm in charge here, I just let that human pay the bills." ;-p

Sounds like your cat was cool! Are you sure that he didn't think you were going to feed him when you were playing hide and seek. No matter how many times you scare the pesky little things if they think food is on offer they come running!

I'm fairly certain he didn't think it was food, as he was always fed in the kitchen(or off my plate if I turned my back for a second). I think he just got off on the adrenaline rush of having me jump out unexpectedly and scare the daylights out of him. He was always a little wild, and liked to be entertained. He even watched tv occasionaly, but would leave the room in a huff if I changed the channel when his shows were on. He didn't have any show that he watched regularly, but if he took an interest in what was on you had better not change it, or you might get a nasty suprize later!
