President Bush was always noted for having spent his life before election without leaving the US (I haven't looked this up, so I'll probably get shouted at for being wrong). Obama on the other hand has travelled widely and immersed himself in local customs. Most importantly he's been on a pub crawl in Wokingham: http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/feb/02/barack-obama-stepmother-kezia-obama
"Obama spent time with the British branch of his family when he visited for Auma's wedding and went on a stag do with Auma's [his half-sister] husband, Ian, apparently trailing around the pubs and clubs of Wokingham."

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
