Hey Paff
I'm just dropping by to let you know that I'm subbing your entry on Status Quo. If you could take a look at A7953087 and make sure you approve, the entry can then be returned to the editors and will eventually appear on the front page!

Hi emr,
Thanks for letting me know. It looks good - you haven't changed much (I could almost recite the original entry word-for-word now, I've re-read it so many times).
I'd only really say two things:
1) It's a shame the years in bold at each para intro had to go (but I guess that's an EG style thing)?
2) I notice the year has gone from after some of the album titles (again, I see why). I was originally intending to have all the albums and dates as footnotes, in some bizzarre hope of making the footnotes themselves read as a discography (stupid idea, I know). I clung on by keeping albums and dates in brackets. I'm sure you've done the right thing, but like I said, I know this entry too well now.
Ok, three things:
3) I always knew footnote 7 would get the editorial chop-down!
Thanks. Good job. Can't wait for the front page. Is there likely to be a picture?
Thanks,
Paff

It's all EG style stuff, sorry. There's not a whole lot I can do about it. The discography thing was a good idea, but I think the eds were leaning towards having it the way it ended up. Besides, you've always got the unedited version, right?
I don't know anything about which entries are slated to get pictures, as the eds make that decision. That would certainly be nice, though!
Can I have your approval to return this to the eds?
Key: Complain about this post
