A direction to go
Posted May 6, 2005
well then, I'll be away for a month from somewhere in the middle of next week till I return. (An obvious conclusion) the direction given is coming from above (no not religious, just bosses) but it's a definite mark of approval for work done with a huge jump in responsibility for the period I'll be looking after the area. (at least till they can find someone more responsible). Mathematically speaking the area I'll be looking after is about 2% of the state.... the number of people involved in the state (working in the same area)is some 350 people.... So that puts me responsible for about 300% more work than most others... (so I'll have to work about 150% harder than I do now, to just meet that target......) MMMMMM and the benefit? I'm sure the experience will be all worthwhile. (cough cough)

A break in the work
Posted Apr 28, 2005
Sometimes between all the rushing here and there for work I actually take a few days off... and I must, literally. I rejuvenate enough that people say I don't look as old as I am. So what is happening with that time? I pursue my other interests with disregard to the time frames...except for the fact I must return to work on a particular day and, since I do shift work, a particular time, I can be found at 1, 3, 5,am pottering on one of my photologs (currently having the most regular contributions to http://www.fotolog.net/gfdwyer, even though they are continually going down or technically inept due to new servers they have installed. They will I'm sure over come), or writing, or movies. On a day off I tend to wander.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
