My towel is an unusual one.
It was stolen by some friend or relative from a Hotel in South Eastern Europe, and then left in our house. The friend or relative never came back looking for it, so I've had it ever since.
The unusual feature of the towel is the name of the hotel on it: PLAVALAGUNA, although the font used has no crossbar on the letter A: PLΛVΛLΛGUNΛ.
Why unusual? The towel is blue. The Lady Plavalaguna was an alien in the film The Fifth Element, who sang an operatic aria from Lucia di Lammermoor.
She was blue, too.

From the commentary for the film, I learned that the singer hired for the role surprised the film makers with here vocal ability. The had planned to digitally enhance her vocal range and speed but they didn't need to enhance it nearly as much as they expected because she hit most of the notes on her own. You can hear it when they did.
