h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Mrs G had a look at h2g2 yesterday, and couldn't understand why the BBC have left us with a site that doesn't work at all. She was brought by Google to the new Barlesque site. She got 404 errors on every link she clicked on, concluded the site was broken, and went away.

That's a shame. I don't use barlesque, I'm waiting for the eds to tell us that all the bugs are fixed.

You should tell the Eds, Gnomon, or preferably Nick. They probably don't realise the effect this is having.

I just replied in Barlesque to Icy's Peer Review on Brains Faggots, and the option to post was replaced with Start Conversation. I hit that, and the post went in as a reply.

Of course, to reply here (bieng a journal) I had to get out of Barlesque and back into dna.

Yes, one of the bugs is that the Reply button in Peer Review bears the legend "Start Conversation". Can't remember whether that one has been reported.

That one confused the hell out of me when I saw it. I immediately switched to Alabaster to post a reply.

I am fairly sure it has been reported.
So I see the bug that blocks us from posting to journals has still not been fixed. I wonder just how they expect anybody to use the skin (let alone newbies) when months later you still can't use it for anything.

It worked, but I got a blank screen after hitting 'reply', and again after hitting 'save'.

The blank screen is a separate issue. I see a blank screen about 1 in every three times I try to pull view a page in barlesque.

I only used barlesque for this test. I don't use it otherwise. I'm not patient enough for that.
