Spring is in the Air
Recumbentman Posted Feb 4, 2011
Cycled in town today; a recumbent is much more stable in the wind than an upright. No great problem going, but to my surprise I was pleasantly wafted home, and hardly had to pedal at all.
Curious posting experience: tried posting from Barlesque (which works for me sometimes) but got the 'rude words' message, so copied, returned via /dna and pasted -- and the above blank post resulted. Repasted and previewed; hope this post works.

I've discovered that the woman killed by the falling tree yesterday worked in my company, in the same building as me, although I didn't know her.

Lost a standing (dead) tree to the winds last week at my place in the Coachella Valley. It missed the house, fortunately.

Fence panels have been flying about today but not heard of any casualties. I got out of the way of one about to take off this morning and it is still blowing a gale now.
