h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I've booked a table for two in Café Paradiso for Saturday night. It's a highly recommended vegetarian restaurant. It's in Cork, which is about 3 hours drive from home (160 miles), so we'll have to book somewhere to stay the night. Cork is a lovely city, so I'm looking forward to seeing it.

We got a voucher for this restaurant for our significant birthdays earlier in the year, so we'll use some of that towards the meal and keep the rest for a return visit early next year.

Oh that sounds great. I've always fancied a trip to Cork as that's where my Father In Law's family are all from.

But you're not vegetarian are you, G?

Mrs G is vegetarian, so I tend to cook only vegetarian food.

That's great. #2 is vegetarian which means that when I cook we are all vegetarian, when cooks he uses every pan in the house and makes 2 versions of whatever we're having. so typical of a professional

There is a nice unpretentious Lancaster Lodge right opposite the Café Paradiso, we found it just the job. You can both have the wine then! And Paradiso besides having outstanding food has a nice wine list as far as I remember. Have a great time!

The weather forecast is for really bad weather - rain and gales, and very cold on Saturday night. But weather can change by the quarter hour in Ireland.
