What are you singing? We're doing Frank Martin's two-choir mass (1922, published 1972) in Gaudete, an excellent small Dublin choir.

Gnoman the unexpected!!

What a wonderful development on your observation that Spring is in the air and informing us about St. Brigid!!

Felicitations. Spring is in the air in Sevenoaks - hellebores are starting to flower and some marvellous little stripey bulbs called chinodoxa (I think) are starting to bloom - plus buds on my new Daphne.

What original poetry/stanzas you have initiated with the thought of St. Brigid!. I am hoping to come and visit a very dear Franciscan sister who is very ill in Dundalk very shortly. As soon as I can find someone to care for K.

With affection

We're rehearsing Walton's "Belshazzar's Feast" at the moment, which is hard work.

Hi Also Ran1! Glad to hear you are still on line and haven't had any further problems. I saw a picture of you that ZSF had taken recently! I'm sorry you couldn't make it to the last London Meet-up.

You can call me TC

I wish I lived in a big town and could join a choir that did works like that - that you could really get your teeth into. At the moment I'm in two tiny little village choirs. I crave for a "proper" choir but feel obliged not to leave these struggling little groups, but three choirs - i.e. three evenings a week - would be a bit much.

I have just checked out what the choir that I used to sing in Mannheim in is doing. They are putting on Verdi's Requiem in June, and the Chamber choir are putting on Duke Ellington's "Sacred Concert" in March. That will be nice to go and see.

Really springlike in Dublin today! The daffodils in the park are craning their necks and showing a yellow tip.

Hi Gnoman,

I have not seen the picture yet - I seem to have been doing a thousand other things and have not had much time 0n hootoo.

How on earth did Exotic turn into Erotic? Very strange!!

Marvellous singing you are doing. I was hoping to go to Dundalk to visit a Franciscan sister who is a dear friend of mine, but unfortunately I also have to find alternatives to my responsibilities here. Tres difficile.

Regards to your sister.

Hedrigall

We have a few mad daffodils in the front garden: they've been flowering away for three weeks now. Like Also Ran, we have a hellebore flowering too, and some pink cyclamens.

All of this before the Snowdrops flower! Must be global warming or something.
