...where I could find a church organist?
I've looked in WeddingsIreland and the like but there are none listed.

I'll have to think about that one. Is the wedding still planned for St Pat's Drumcondra? Have you checked that there isn't a resident organist in the church? Is this a Catholic, Church of Ireland or Ecumenical Service? It might make a difference! I know the organist from St Bartholemew's (Church of Ireland) in Clyde Road. He usually goes away for the Summer, though, so he might not be around. I also know of a good organist in Churchtown/Dundrum, but that's a long way for him to go.

The (Catholic) church is in St. Pats college so the organist/music tutor is away on her summer break. Personally I don't see that we need an organ, as it's too huge a sound as we won't have the church 1/3 full...The college has a couple of talented violin students so I might offer them a brown envelope each and see...plus as we're not doing the mass part (for obvious reasons) we'll be in and out in 20 minutes...hmm

I know of a very good young string group (four or five players) who would probably be cheap because they are young. I'll e-mail you the name and phone number of one of them if you want to make enquiries.
