Hello there...
my name is Njan, and I'm one of the h2g2 ACEs, or Assistant Community Editors. The ACEs run around generally helping people and welcoming them to the guide. I also have Scout after my name... the scouts are involved in the h2g2 editorial process, but you'll find out about that soon enough. (There are also gurus, who answer technical queries, and subs. It's all rather complicated).
Anyways... you seem to have found your footing on the user page reasonbaly well.. I'd encourage you to go and find some forums, people to talk to, and societies. Just follow links.. if you click on my name, I link to some people and things.. I'm sure you'll find plenty to do.
Have fun, and if you need any help at all, feel free to pester me here (hit reply) or at my user page (click on my name) or even at either the ACEs homepage or the Newcomers page (both of which are linked to from the h2g2 front page.
