I also just wanted to apologise for appearing to belittle your illness... I have no prejudice against mental illnesses and disabilities and think it's great that the social stigma attached to such things is lessening these days, and I hope you can come to terms with yours eventually.

For what it's worth I'm planning to get therapy this year to help deal with my own issues. Including the one where I can't let go of something even when it's hurting people.

I suspect it's one of those things that is very much individual, I know a few people with the same disorder as you and they all deal with it differently! I hope you find your way sooner rather than later.
