For some reason whenever I listen to that song I think of you:

Now I hope you do speak French*. A shame also I couldn't find a youtube version or something.

* which, if my memory doesn't fail, you don't. Ah merde. I'll have to translate everything for you, which may take time and give an uninspired result too.

pardonez moi, my French is un petit peu..smiley - erm

And I tried the link but it kept asking for my mobile number. I'm one of the few people without one. smiley - erm I only had one once whilst on holiday.

Anyway I'm touched that a song could make you think of moi. smiley - biggrin

Your mobile number? How smiley - weird

It wouldn't help anyway, there is no audio link in that page. Come to it, I didn't find any audio file anywhere of that one. Maybe I should send you an mp3 copy (for your personal use only), but that wouldn't help you without a translation I guess smiley - shrug

smiley - cheers

Ah, maybe you clicked the link. They claim it will send you the corresponding ringtone. A nine-minutes ringtone, that is smiley - biggrin

Et hop, sent you an email with the (rather large) file and a translation of the lyrics. It's not from a real name address, because the other one... oh heck, I explain in the email. Let any lurker be frustrated now smiley - nahnah

smiley - musicalnote

I do know basic French..err very basic. I did well at school in most subjects, but had a terrible block about foreign languages, and failed my French O level. But I think it was because I just didn't get the way the teacher taught it. But I absolutely love the sound of French, and infact many languages like Italian and Russian. I taught myself a little Russian from tapes, when I went there and it seemed a hell of a lot easier than the way we were taught at school. My brother also found languages difficult, but he went to live in France when he taught at an art school there, and now speaks it fine.

But yes. What's his name? I'll get some more of his stuff on CD if I can, I have a very good sound system, because I'm fussy about music quality. I can hear him belting out in my living room already smiley - biggrin

He's called Hubert-Felix Thiefaine. There is quite a lot on youtube or dailymotion, if you want to get a feeling of his other things. He changed quite a lot in time smiley - smiley He matured like good whisky (although some of the old stuff is still quite, er, peachy?)

I could send you more songs too smiley - whistle
