Just thought I'd check up and find out if you are OK and firing on all cylinders now?

Yes in general things have been much better for me on h2g2. I'm much more humorous now which I like and kept well away from conflict. And if I'm sometimes a bit OTT, its in a good way. IE not losing my temper.

Yesterday I saw this young bird fledge. The whole thing. Its parents feeding it worms first of all, and then encouraging to start flying. It was cute the way it kept fluttering its wings to try them out. And finally flew a little way. And I even had to chase next door's tom cat well away when it suddenly got interested in the baby bird. Anyway the whole thing affected me hugely. And I couldn't sleep last night because of it. I know it sounds funny. But that's me.

But that's a good thing to not sleep for.

Glad your happy now! Like you we have birds in the garden ( I feed them all year ), but no fledgelings yet, I'll keep my Eyes open - easier to do now both eyes have plastic lenses in them - no cataracts left, but I have to wear photochromic glasses, you know, the sort that turn dark when you are outside - makes me look like a mafiosi I think!

Apart from that its's a few aches in joints, doubtless brought on by increasing age, so really I am fine, thanks for asking!

I'm so pleased you can see better now, that must be brilliant. Yes I was very surprised that that blackbird fledged so early. Mind you the climate in London is quite mild, and spring gets earlier every year. (The rather nice side of global warming).

I have forgotten how to add a friend ! ( old age no doubt ), can you tell me how I do it? I'll put you and one or two more on today.

Sorry that your a bit fed up with this place right now, it does get a bit tedious at times doesn't it?. But then we can't like everyone we meet , or agree with them come to that, and some folk can be pretty acid in their postings........

Then of course there are threads which we join in, which then wander off into subject matter we don't like!

I find that I tend to 'lurk' for a day or two and then join in on something which catches my eye, but I don't follow all the various convos.

Life is too short to get too upset by what some folk say!

Hi Novo, this is sweet of you to take this trouble.

In Brunel which is the skin I use when you visit my space, you'll see 'add to friends' on the top right, or I imagine if you use another skin its similar when you visit my space.

Yeah I suppose we all go through phases of 'fed upness'. I bring some of it on myself because as you know I can be a bit of a 'hot head.' And I do like h2g2 enormously. I've had some brilliant convos here, and made friends which is lovely. I hugely value that.

Thanks for that, but I cannot find an 'add friend' button ANYWHERE within My Space pages, so I have just 'asked' the Eds to tell me how to do it. My reputation for old age and onset of dementia will now follow me for ever!

Yesterday was a beautiful day here in the North West, and promises well for today, although it's a tad hazy, so it may stay a little cooler than 24 degrees.

As a matter of passing interest, since you are in London, I was born in Jan 1941 just outside Colchester in Essex, about 5 miles from the Stour valley (Constable country!), where I spent my childhood days, in beautiful and peacefull countryside- at least after 1945 and the end of WW2.!!!

I suppose in strict terms I have added folk to whom I have not yet posted into their PS, so it may be presumptious of me to label them 'friends' - I just like their style so may write a personal note someday....!
