aaargghh i am being attacked by little brown ants!

actually, i just recently discovered haha that the 10 to 15 bites in nice little tracks that i am getting in the middle of the night on unexposed parts of my body (therefore not mosquitos) is coming from these bizarre little brown ants (i live in maui) that do not carry food back to the anthill but graze it as it lies... . .
could it be because i eat cookies in bed?
