if you would allow me to put you on my *friends* list? I've come to consider you with great esteem (and press).
You'll just have to put up with my bad jokes now and then, it shouldn't be too painful.

AFAIK Dar is actually Canadian and lives in Jakarta, Indonesia. Vicky for some reason insists that he's Indonesian. But then Vicky now insists I'm a hefty Amazon and I've read her saying SoRB is an American in his fifties, blicky is a hooray henry....I could probably go on.
It would be quite funny to add all the other names dar's had to be, to my friends' list. But it might spoil the vaguely minimalist appearance of my ps

This place went out of a sock puppet phase a long while ago, I guess some people can't keep up with the program.
At least your ps hasn't been modded.

There was a period a few years back, parallel to and part of the *Della War* threads where all manner of people had a number of *sock puppets* or fake personas here. It kind of died out when people got a bit sloppy about it but Vicky (Della) thinks it's still rampant.
You must know that Vicky has had her entire ps hidden by mod? Only the convos and journal entries remain. A bit of a damning indictment, don't you think? I think only British politeness (second only to Canadian politeness) has kept here online here.
Great little conversation right now on Dawkins, don't you think? It's actually enjoyable for a change.

Yes, brilliant after all the horrible stuff.
Okay I understand now what you are referring to in the past.
Of course I've seen her ps is hidden. I saw on the thread to WG that she explained it was because she had copyrighted song lyrics; but she couldn't think of anything to put in their place. How bizarre that she can't think of anything personal and original to use instead.
But she's an absolute hoot in some ways.

That's odd, I've had song lyrics on my PS before, and all I ever got was a polite note from the mods asking if I would either remove them or get permission to show them.
I've even just quoted *all rights and origination* from so and so and it seems to work. Maybe my choice of musicians have crappy lawyers.
I find her amusing until she goes on a rant or attacks someone just because she disagrees with them.
I wonder..

I've been at the end of my tether with her lately. The ups and downs of Vicky are to be believed.
She's an enigma. I can't really put it all into words. She's a clucking phenomenon. Remember what I spoke about the 'personality' thing. It all adds up, I can assure you.

Well for anyone else it would probably be a simple matter of doing what you did. Who knows the real ins and outs with her. Probably best to not even go there.....

Do, do, do, do. Do, do, do, do.
She's _watching_ us!!
She responded on a thread on my ps.
Hold me. I'm so scawed!

Yes I've seen that zoom. I'm a bit taken aback that she's still been coming to my ps and reading my personal threads.
I had assumed now that I've been removed me from her 'Friends list' that she would no longer be visting here.
I wonder..

Her paranoia knows no bounds, it would seem. Since I apparently *hate and fear* her it's odd that I find most of her posts alternately amusing, confusing or hateful. And I mean hateful in the original sense, full of hate.
We had a gentleman here some time back who was Veddy Christian but was of the *forgive them for they know not what they do* type. Much more relaxed and aproachable. The best part of him was that he understood that if one doesn't have faith one can't understand and that's the end of it. As far as he was concerned everything was ultimately unknowable other than his personal god so science couldn't enter into it.
Our present believers' problem is that she admits to some truths of science but not to the ones that might impugn her faith. Sad, really.

And there was me thinking we Brits specialise in 'understatement' to make a point.

Absolutely zoom. I'm totally prepared to respect the honesty of someone coming from that position. As much as I would disagree with that view personally, I can accept it.
I've made this point before. One of the biggest causes for the nasty edge to discussions in the religious threads is when religious 'people'/person can't be honest. Faith can never be rationalised, by definition, a point DNA made in hitchhikers about god disappearing in a puff of logic when 'proven'.
It really is quite silly a lot of the time, frustrating and thank god sometimes funny.
