i guess it only applies to 'new' researchers?

s'funny... i read that to mean that any critical or negative postings, even if not directed at new researchers, will scare them off if they see them... which is exactly what i was addressing in my removed post (18) in this thread. I know this misbehaviour has scared me off.. bigtime!! and i am fairly new... 7 months at the most.

recently i saw a thread where alla youse were trying to figure out how to make hootoo better...and how to get more folks to come in and how to make it more welcoming... but this problem was never addressed.

perhaps you all should address how to keep the folks you already have.

We're really tired of this ongoing dispute now.

No areas of h2g2 are 'private', but this is getting ridiculous. If you can't get on with one another, please steer clear of one another entirely (NB: Saying 'I'm going to ignore you now. Don't speak to me again' is the opposite of ignoring someone) or we'll start taking action against accounts.

Yes I'm thoroughly tired of it too. I'll do my best to deal with this thing in a civilised way.
