I do appreciate your warm and open invitation to join the Forum thread. But having seen all of the same players, going over and over and over their same stances ... And yeah, occassionally newer folks come along who profess the 'theist' or 'scientific' position ... It's all the same-old, same-old. As the Editorial staff have basically indicated. There ain't nothing new, just extremist fanatics on both sides of the fence.
But it does give the occassional giggle to a watcher.

Well I always knew wouldn't be man enough Rev. Enjoy your lurking giggles. I'm sure there's plenty more doing the same.
But I thank you for a slightly less abusive message than Vicky recently left me here, which the 'Editorial staff' have chosen to delete, without trace.
No, thank you

I saw the 'copy & paste' of that message, that you left somewhere else. Just FYI, of there is but a single post in a thread, and it is removed by the system, the thread also ceases to exist. If there would have been a 2nd post, then the thread would have remained, with the usual message replacing the 1st item. In the nearly 4 years that I have been here, I have only once seen the Eds go to the extreme and fully erase a thread of multiple posts.
As I told your friend Roymondo once, my own Catholicism was shattered many years ago. But I see no reason to become bitter or hateful about it. Instead, I read as many perspectives and options as I can find in English. I do not KNOW if a God or gods exists, and so I won't take a firm stand on either side of that fence. I will contentedly discuss or chat nearly any other subject matter though, so long as the tone remains reasonably sane and tolerant, and doesn't descend into exchanges of personal abuse. Which is why I have and do post to threads in The Forum ... until they devolve to the usual Science vs God theme.

Rev I have no intention of speaking any more to you here. If you have something to say about the Dawkins thread have the decency and balls to go there where people such as my friend Roymondo, and others post, instead of hiding away as a lurker.
No, thank you
Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted Nov 24, 2007
As I tried to express, and you may have missed it, I will not get into discussions of religion, or your "Dawkins Thread". I am not a theist nor atheist, by the common definitions. If that is the extent of your ability to post to this site, then so be it.
As to male-ness, I am sufficiently matured to not be bothered by ethereal suggestions that I am less than some arbitrary measure.
Just as an aside, ... re: the hiding away as a lurker ... Have you never listened to a passing conversation, with maybe a bit of an idea to contribute, and yet not enough to boldy shoulder in and declare THIS, THAT or the OTHER? Listening, learning, and yet not butting in?
No, thank you
Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted Nov 25, 2007
Right. It does seem that you have a very few things that you can deal with. Religion and the hatred of, sexual orientation and the defence of, ... and ... Oh, I guess that's it. Aside from using every opportunity to try to belittle anyone not of the same opinions as yourself.
So, I bid you a happy and self-satisfying time of what-ever, and will see you out there. Ta-ta, and unsubbing ...
No, thank you

Uh huh. You reply to the twitch on a bad pun, which I don't think you actually meant. (It probably surprised you, as much as your original very tasteless name ... 'Sweet Fanny Adams' ...) But fully ignore the post before it. No surprises there.
No, thank you

I've made it abundantly clear that I don't wish to speak to you on my ps. If you continue to harass me here, I shall complain to h2g2. I've already been informed about some of your past behaviour to others, and shall not hesitate to mention that as well to the eds, in the context of not wanting any communication from you on my ps.
I only feel comfortable having any sort of communication with you on public threads, as much because I know some of the the history.
And no, absolutely not I shall not be discussing what that is with you.
If you post here again I shall complain.
I can't make it clearer than that.
No, thank you
Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted Dec 15, 2007
"Past behaviour", eh? It seems that you've been fed from someone else's paranoia. Guesses are obvious, though still inexplicable. Stuff happens. If you are not up to a one-to-one discussion, I can understand that. Cheers and luck with what-ever it is you seek in the threads. You may one day find it.

Sorry, Effers, but I really couldn't resist to post this little gem I found today: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/F19585?thread=4873150&skip=161&show=1 Have a good Christmas.

Yes, B'Elana, isn't it interesting what is found by silently watching hours-old threads. Not the <./>Info</.> page, of course. Certainly never lurking PS's ... That has been always all wrong, ...
No, thank you
aka Bel - A87832164 Posted Dec 23, 2007
You're pathetic, Nick. How will you know which conversations on 'Ask' I follow and when? And what business of yours is it anyway?
If you mean to imply that I lurk your PS, then that's a very good joke.
Why do you think I would do that? I have much more interesting conversations to read than anything I could find on your PS, I'm sure.
No, thank you
Effers;England. Posted Dec 23, 2007
I know he just can't control himself. Still all he's doing is confirming what I've heard about his behaviour from others.
Merry christmas to both of you by the way.

Having this thread brought back to my attention by Effers (RedPeck?) herself, ...
I do find it odd that you high-light a post that is 14 hours or more old. That does not happen by the <./>Info</.> page, unless hootoo has been very quiet.
Once more, I will respect Effers request to leave her alone (privately). And wish you a happy birthday a few days hence.
No, thank you
aka Bel - A87832164 Posted Dec 23, 2007
Good grief, what a huge EGO you have, Nick. I don't think it needs explaining to you how easy it is to find and read an ongoing conversation on 'AsK' - just click here: <./>askh2g2</.>, and the latest conversations are all there.
But maybe you think only a selected few are allowed to read and contribute to conversations there?
If so, I'm SORRY, but I won't have You tell Me what I am allowed to read and what not, or who I am allowed to post what to.
Get a grip, Nick.
No, thank you
Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted Dec 23, 2007
Right. The INFO page shows this as top again ...
Is the ASK stuff so slow that you have to side step to this other thread, that 'Effers'[ has asked to be silent? Twice I have invited her to my PS, if she is so sorely offeneded. And heard so many historic things about me. The sources of such histrionics are pretty limited, so it's easy to know where they come from.
SO ... To make you all feel very big and important, I will recognize your ACE'y badges and slink away.
