h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Had a good look at the garden in detail today after it finished raining. Some parts, particularly all up the left hand side, are so completely entwined and rampant that its scary. I mean it's meant to be a garden not a wilderness I had bought 20 bare rooted hedgerow plants in Feb to try to create small hedges in places. They are bounding along with woodland seeds I planted last year This garden is now controlling me.

But I bought an electric strimmer last year for the front hedge..a nice neat old fashioned privet one which has been there for donkies' years - maybe since the house was built around the turn of the century. But it might be a bit feeble for some of what needs doing at the back. I'll have to get a proper petrol one if that's the case. I have to wait for a dry period.

It was a relief though because this morning I got into too much head stuff on h2g2 - too many connections happen at present for that. The speediness started to make me feel my head would expload..and photophobia started. Tried beer, then vodka and coke. Gardening worked..but only after the alcohol. But really I need to be careful about not thinking too much.

Oh god I really should stop listening to the News. Constant chaotic stuff is just not healthy. But it's hard. And I know it's self indulgent really given what's going on in Eastern Africa.

But really that malignant Murdoch infection has been here for all my adult life in this country. Plus my own parents desire to just aim for making money, and everything else came second. They really are a bit Murdoch like. This driving ambition.

It's hard not to celebrate the show down.
