Nidri, Levkada
Posted May 2, 2005
I spent a fortnights holiday in Nidri in late september 2002. At the time i was recovering from tuberculosis, and so was not on top form. Never the less i found the place to my taste, not over run with the usual drunken Brits, but serene and relaxing.
Due to my illness i could not get about to much so never actually left the proximity of our studio, well not much further than say 500 yards. Thankfully we were situated just at the south end of the street ( the main town consists of one street approx. 1/2 mile long )
Parrallel to the main street is the harbour road, on one side a long line of Tavernas and restaurants, on the other is the marina filled with private yachts and places where one can hire boats for the day.
The point is my partner and i are hoping to revisit Nidri very soon, and i would like to here comments on the place from anyone who has recently stayed there.
