Ok, let's open this one for discussion- why not? What's so wrong with that??

For me it's because I like you both as individuals. For the different personalities that make Bob Bob and Elly Elly. And I have one relationship with Bob, and another with Elly. Neither is necessarily better than the other, but they are separate. When you meld together into one username, it isn't necessarily hard to work out who's who (as Elly pointed out in another thread, you just look at the spelling) but it's very confusing when one of you is posting a reply to something I said to the other. And it sort of feels like the friendship I had with you as individuals isn't the same.

I don't mean to burst your balloon -- I know you both really like this idea of having one username; I have a fair idea where you're coming from, but I'd be lying if I said I liked it too. Elly is special, Bob is special, and I'm so pleased that you have this wonderful relationship. But it's as I've explained above. I don't expect you to do anything about how I feel about it, it's entirely your decision whether you log in as seperate entities or a couple. I just don't like it is all.

Well, first of all, it's not my idea, so it's not really up to me to change it... Second- I like it, and it doesn't make me a different person- I stick to my threads, Mike sticks to his. I've actually managed to start a conversation with Cafram through his threads, which is great, in my opinion.
Third- his character might be rubbing off on me, slightly (we do share a very tiny apartment..) but I kinda enjoy this confusing bit.
Fourth- it's my homepage- my space is, I mean, so non of us has to log on or anythin.
And finally- maybe the novelty would ware off, or you guys would get used to that, or both- it won't stay the same forever.
