Hi, welcome back Ringo! GLAD to see you back again!
Oh yeah, You've instantly noticed the major changes around here! h2g2 is now part of the BBC, and there are awful lots of conversations about the new house rules. Just stroll through the /askh2g2 pages, the /feedback (which has a new section), or just click on that cat in the window on top of any page. BBC won't let us have imagery, and no external links within conversations. The 'song of the day' will take some time to reappear, as the Moderators walk through anything in sequential order, oldest postings (and journal entries) first.
Conversations in German/Italian/Swahely/Whatnot ... oh, just don't ask please!

Well, it's not quite as bad, as German conversations re-appear on a slow pace, but for the time being we're better off writing in English

AT LAST you're back! So glad to see you, Ringo!
And also a warm welcome to my message center to Bossel.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep on posting in German! If people just start posting all in English, why should BBC bother about languages?
Show them that posts in other languages than English is an important part of the Guide!
VIVA POLYGLOT PLAZA!!!

OK - I had thought of adding the German translation of everything I wrote in English, but it was a bit too much work. However, you are right in principle, Ottox, and I shall carry on writing in German. It feels better anyway in certain situations. Why don't you write more Danish - or do you?

I write in Danish when talking with people understanding it. In the last weeks that's mainly been Titania and Santragenius V, and a little with Pierce the Pirate and Bumblebee.
With all these Germans in this thread, I wonder why it's all in English
(I better not try to post in German, but I would understand most of your posts.)

Doesn't the Danish get moderated away within minutes?

Ottox Posted Apr 2, 2001
I might have been lucky, but I would say hours...
However the Danish and Swedish posts in the "In my room"-thread in my journal survived without any moderation at all! Maybe the moderator reading those posts can speak Danish? Engländers German post in the same thread was removed.
