I've been reading I noticed you posted a thread way back in 2006 Subject: Accessing the main site... Posted Feb 27, 2006.
Just a note to say that the Opera-mini web-browser for mobile phones works quite well for accessing the main h2g2 site etc.
How do you think I'm here on a mobile phone using Opera mini 
I can't get on any other way, if you know one leave a message please. 
p.s the moving smilies are static while on a mobile phone.

Opera mini is just about the best browser for a mobile phones I've come across so far (if only because opera's servers do all the heavy lifting).
