Dearest Monsy,
It is great to hear that there is some intelligent life in Alablessedbama. I have told many people around these parts of my involvement with the h2g2 but haven't had much interest about it. I would certainly like to visit your personal space and also find out about Gardendale, AL. I will have to go to the map, I am not from AL orginally, or as they say here Ball When County. I love Fairhope.
Thanks for writing and I hope to hear from you again.

yes, believe it or not there are some sane people around here (though at times i have to look hard to find them). i've lived in gardendale for the past 10 years but was pretty much raised in the military (father) so i did a good bit of traveling. time on both sides of the big pond .
i work in irondale right now, our company built a new building here so we moved shop from mountain brook to here. i know you said you are not sure of where things are but if you remember the movie 'fried green tomatoes' you may know what i am talking about here...i work just across the railroad tracks from the whistlestop cafe' aka irondale cafe'. the one the movie was based on.
btw, love the alablessedbama line there . it fit with my latest rant over the southern baptists. fair warning, gardendale is run by the local first baptist church (seems that way anyway) and so i get a bad taste in my mouth whenever i think baptist. not bad people but sometimes i think the ones who are the most vocal need to reinsert their brain before operating their mouth.
ok, now that i have run you off with that let me also say that i tend to get a bit overheated over small things and ramble at times and if you ever want to be entertained you just need to tell me i can't talk...the facial expressions will give you fits of laughter.
btw, email address is a hotmail account... miss_monsy

i had a quick break here at the office and thought i would type in what i forgot earlier. you said you were not familiar with the area so i figured if i told you i was about 10 minutes north of birmingham alabama that would help give you an idea of location . sorry, i forget sometimes that just because i know something doesn't mean everyone else does

Dearest Monsy,
Great to hear from you. Yes of course I know the story of that great bee charmer and it's all in the sauce! You will be happy to know that although I do have an southern accent at this time I too am fed up with fundamentalist baptists. Please don't repeat this as I will be run out of town on a rail. I just had to print out an article from beliefnet, dated June 12th about the Southern Baptist Convention held in Dallas this year. There was speech made denouncing Mohammad as a pedophlile and citing historical biblical proofs. Do these people have nothing more to do than stir up hate mongering amongst the already enraged masses? Nuff, said. I'm off to school.

don't even get me started on that load of *&^%$##&....
let's just say that i do not understand how one group of people who claim to be so good can be so hateful/hurtful. in my opinion, i think there are a lot of people out there who need to spend a bit more time catching up on their history lessons before they begin spouting hatred. as for the run out of town...i won't say anything if you won't
ok, must control the rant or i will have a small book going
so tell a bit about yourself...
me, 2 birth kids, one adopted kid and one stepkid. 4 grandkids from the stepkid who wanted to get even with me for marrying his dad .
i do lots of landscape stuffs along with am always redecorating my house. i see something i like and find a challange in working it into my home for the least amount of expense. i work full time for some really insane people. never knew you could own a business and be so blind as to how to stay above water. i spend most of my time trying to explain the no no's of corporate money even if you do own the corporation.
i figure knowing a bit gives (maybe) something in common.
where were you before moving here?

I was in New Orleans, north of the lake Ponchtrain. Before that Dallas, Before that Mexico City, Paris, New York, Bahamas, Guadelupe French West Indies. I am single. Marriage has not agreed with me, I have no children. It is said that I am a professional student. I have to go to write an essay now and will be busy with a final on next Monday so I will write more then. I love gardening by the way. I used to own a Day Spa but now just do massage on the side and specialize in aromatherapy. I have a private clientel and don't look for many more since I don't have that much time to work.Catch you Monday. I feel the same way as you about all the prejudice
and stupidity in the world.

sounds like you've had as much travel experience as i have. that was something about having my father in the military that got to me after awhile. moving every two or three years. just as you get to know people in the area you had to leave and start all over again. although on the bright side we did get to see a lot that most people never get to see .
.
.
back before work took up most of my time i had a rather busy time with ceramics and gift baskets. towards the end of my ceramic days most of my orders consisted of dragons and indian items. the gift baskets would most always contain handmade soaps, bath salts, candles, oils and such. very relaxing baskets that smelled great . i am big on smells and making my house smell comforting with oils, dried flowers/plants and such. it feels so much more inviting than the sterile homes with the smell of nothing. not to mention the dried flowers/plants and such make it look as if i've brought the outside in with me
.
.
.
day spa, never been but always wanted to. i've pictured it as being the ultimate in relaxation and there is something nice about spoiling yourself now and then.
.
.
so tell me, i read in your journal entries that you were having problems with court and your home. what is going on?
we are doing the court thing as well though it is something completely different. doesn't matter the reasons though, court will drain you and those blasted lawyers can make things drag out to infinity
good luck with your essay and final (the official loo brush of h2g2
)

Sounds like we have a lot in common with the aromatherapy and flowers. The court thing well, my liar says it isn't political but I am taking it to the ACLU next week. I have had it with the whole lot. I finished my 3rd essay in the course and took the final. I am going to New Orleans tomorrow to do some research on my graduate paper then I will be back in Navarre, FL. I have been taking care of my grand niece, her mother is in the hospital and will be for a week more then recovering for at least 5 wks. My research paper is due on the 25th of July and I haven't even started. It is a good thing my friend is here to help with Sophia this week, that's my grand niece. I will be back to help with the mother and child by the end of the week I expect. I have to get back to Mobile to see, doctors, liars and indian chiefs. I am confident that I will do well on all of the above, but prayers are always needed. I went to my favorite church today which is St. Sylvester's Catholic, in Navarre today. Then off to the flea market to get some high quality insense. I don't have much time since I have been here to do much of anything since Sophia is only 19 mos. and keeps quite a schedule. This is a unique experience for me which I am throughly enjoying because I have no children of my own. Thant's the latest except I really don't want to write over the open forum what the case is all about you know, legal stuff. When it's over we can all read the book. Until then the next court date is Aug 20 and All prayers again are appreciated. Thanks for keeping in touch.

seems like you are keeping a schedule about as full as mine .
it is an experience keeping up with a little one, amazing how much energy they have .
good luck with your court happenings, i am dealing with court of my own at the moment, well actually my daughter. i had a pretty detailed description of it on my homepage and quite a few researchers helped calm my nerves and give marijke (my daughter) some very good advice. i did find though that i had to word quite a bit of it just right or the mods would, for the security of court, remove what might not be approp. we received a letter from the da last week telling us that everything was set up for grand jury but we don't have a date yet. that's ok, little stinker has been behind bars for 7 months now what's a few more .
.
.
i found some fantastic candles the other day, very strong...you know how a lot of times the scented candles wind up being a fizzle because when you light them they either burn quickly or you can't smell them at all. these aren't like that, they burn slowly, have thick wicks that do require reg. trimming and the smell stays strong (doesn't fizzle) .
best get to work now, that time of day again...i just don't understand why they can't just pay me and let me stay home

Dearest Monsey,
I never have been over to your site. I regret, but I was talking about you just last night to a friend. It is so great to have friends from all over the world, even Gardendale, AL! I will pray for you on your court matter, if it involves your daughter, I know it must grieve you. I have kept my court matter pretty much moderated and most of my life details are kept low key on this public site. I did report that they had suspended a criminal jury trials in AL and luckily mine is a civil matter, so they should not be postponing. I am feeling optimistic today and know in my heart that it is just a matter of time, when I do finally get in court I will be back in my house in the blink of an eye. Meanwhile, I have been so upset these many months to have become ill from the stress and agravation. Again, you and yours will be in my prayers. I would like to hear more from you and will be finished with my paper by July 25th. You can email me at [email protected] and we can talk about things I would appreciate it.

it is something isn't it? (having people from all over that you can get to know) being a military brat that spent a lot of time moving from place to place it has been kind of nice to reunite with some old friends plus make a few new ones.
.
.
yes, the criminal trial suspension put a kink in ours as it is criminal but thankfully things are rolling again (12 days and counting).

on a lighter note, we had a mocking bird nest fall out of our tree in the front yard. one bird died from the fall and the second one died from injuries a few days later but the third one is a little trooper. he is due to be released from the cage on our back porch tomorrow . i found out new things about mocking birds. the mother bird found her baby in the cage on our back porch and started guarding it then decided it was time to take over feeding. she will gather food as if the bird was still in a nest, sit on the outside of the cage and reach in to feed the baby then perch nearby to make sure i am not hurting her baby. the momma bird attacked my stepson and husband for going over to the cage but so far doesn't mess with me. i never saw anything like it before, most birds when the nest falls or is disturbed the momma bird goes off and starts again...not this one, it hunted down its baby and is still taking care of it.

Dearest Monsy,
I do think that Mocking birds are unique. Early this spring I looked out the window because there was a clammering of birds and saw two mocking birds chasing a large brown snake across the yard. They were following it along just hovering nearby and swooping down and pecking it on the head as it was slithering towards the bushes to get away from their assault. It was amazing to me.
My sometimes signifigant, sometimes not signifigant other, (this depends on my mood) has an exotic bird that we keep in a small room with a glass sliding door. It is a black crested caique. He has a cage, and his name is Houdini because he magically gets out of it anytime he pleases. Anyhoo, there are some mourning doves that live in the trees next to his windows. When I took him out of the room to the living room, which has more windows, I was amazed to see them swooping and hovering by his window looking for him.
I couln't believe he had such concerned friends. He was sitting on a stick I had propped out of the window sill in the living room and not only did the mouning dove hover by the window to check on him but a mocking bird came by to hover and say Hello to him as well! He has a lot of friends. He is a real character too!
Well, thanks for chatting. Keeping you and yours in my thoughts and prayers.
