Thats the first concert over
and it was a success, our conductor was 'Mary Rafferty', leader of the Huddersfield Philharmonic, and among the audience was the Mayor and Mayoress of Barnsley and Harold
(Dickie) Bird the International cricket umpire.
We played for fifty minutes a mixture of classical, Christmas tunes and some popular tunes such as 'Pink Panther' and 'Scarborough Fair'.
A good time was had by all..
