This is it...
Posted Sep 4, 2016
I haven't got time to be ill - I'm my husband's carer - but ill is what I have to accept that I am.
No fever, no rash, nothing glamourous. It's a digestive complaint. some sort of bowel problem. Probably colitis. The type of thing which peopel refuse to accept as a reason for illness and not doing things until you go into details, at which time it's "whoah too much information!"

Hmm...

You know those ridiculous dinner party etc conversations people sometimes have about which thing they'd prefer out of two hypothetical extremes? I think I've answered one for myself.
Actually, make that two.

The day after tomorrow...
Posted May 21, 2016
I'm going to do something which I hate doing ie. plead a diplomatic migraine. In my entire life, this has only been used twice.
It's dishonest, and more than a bit cowardly, but the alternatives are far worse.
Next time I'll stay further away from the edge, so that this won't be a necessary option.

Not the best day in the world:
An early start
A battery of blood tests (his)
GP giving not the best odds in the world, although trying to remain optimistic until everything less bad has been firmly ruled out.
DWP letter about PIP.
Tomorrow is another day.

Okay, this is the third day, and have I got anything amazing to say? No.
Some writing exercise this is turning out to be. Almost as productive as the time I was required to fill in a dream diary, and subsequently had no dreams (none which were remembered on waking, anyway) for three whole months.
On the other hand, I've cleared most of my email backlog, renewed my discount card for the nearest swimming pool, and I got the shopping out the way, so today has been far from unproductive. It just feels as if I'm running to stand still the whole time...
