Stone Art, I'm Gnomon. I don't think we've ever spoken, but I noticed you had commented in Peer Review recently, on the "Dealing with a Manipulative Relationship" entry. I must say that I thought your comments were among the most insightful I've seen in years. Have you ever thought to apply your insight to writing entries? I think you'd be good at it.

Unfortunately, the author of the entry you commented on appears to be unable to handle any sort of criticism and lashed out at you in a totally unwarranted way. I urge you to ignore this - don't treat it as a personal attack; assume that the person concerned is very angry at something or other and is unable to recognise constructive criticism for what it is.

In general, we're a happy and helpful bunch here on h2g2, and I hope that the response you received doesn't put you off the site.

Hi thanks for the support,

I view the peer review threads as communal feedback rather than just a one on one feedback to the submitter, since I imagine it is the "editors" of H2G2 that have to decide whether something submitted and amended gets accepted into the guide (?) , rather than
the submitter themselves.

Consequently I see the thread as part feedback (specific or generic), part discussion with others (as to merits of the work taking into account previous comments). If the submitter ignores my feedback or has an emotional response to it I will try to ignore it and move on to the next submission that grabs my interest.
