I was as disappointed as you that it didn't make more headlines - especially given what happened with Oscar Pistorius - that was a golden opportunity to publicise the movement.



all we can do is keep talking about it, keep on at it, and hope that the unreconstructed (head in the sand? white middle-aged middle-class sense-of-entitlement-male?) finally gets the message.

At this stage the best (I fear) we can hope for is to inform (educate?) our peers, our children and our friends/nearest and dearest.

I view the media more of a social phenomenon rather than an institution with a primary mission to inform, educate and play its neccesary role in the "democratic" / "free market" process. The media itself seems to be a masculine led orginisation. Women themselves are generally only accepted into western society if they fit into the male / imperially minded system. Women in other societies need to be treated with respect and listened to and responded to.
