Tell me what grade you teach there in Liverpool. Phonetics are very interesting to me? Are you familiar with the International Phonetic Language. It would be fun to listen to you speak in your Liverpullian accent. Give a try won't cha luv. See you're not so boring.

I teach 11-18 year-olds, for my sins! But am not actually from Liverpool...sorry so don't really have the accent except for the odd word or two (tends to be more after several drinks!)..my accent must be pretty wierd by now though as an amalgamation of several things!
I think that I was correct in my first statement too....this is possibly the most boring message I've posted so far....apologies! It's nothing personal!

Hey it's not all so bad!
Why at the moment my job seems positively delightful...anything to do with a 6 week summer break I wonder??

They are going to something called the Block System here in the State . We have so many kids to educate that they are doing it in shifts. some go morning shift, others afternoons. Then they are staggering the months. Some start one 6 month period, some the other. the way things are going around here teaching will be a year round job. We are worker bees here in the state, got to stay ahead of the game you know being world leader and all that.

Call that ahead?? Working all year round? I call it positively barbaric!
I like the idea of a shift system, but only if I get to work in the morning and then go home!
Our school day will be increased when I return to work..not looking forward to that at all. I have a disciplinary role in work. This just gives the little loves more time to get into trouble!
I'm off now to enjoy what little sunshine and holiday I have left!

Enjoy sweetness and light. I had to go to class tonight. Human Development through the life span. It's a review of Psy 101, Boring! The teacher is an adjunct professor and I thought I was behind until I saw her unfininshed power point presentation. I just don't know if I will be able to handle teaching on a high school level. I hope to go to Spain or Santo domingo and study this summer and maybe take my GRE to get into a regular Master's Program in Romance Languages, I only took the MLA to get into my alternative masters, like I said in my space I have out grown the university here. Let me know where the fun is. I have found the BBC audio vidieo channel 6. Have some for me. I will be writing reaction papers to psycho babble articles from the regular press, and one research paper.
