h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I have only a week and two days before I'm back in prison. Yes, someone was clever enough to start school on a Wednesday. I think it continues to ruin the whole week more than starting on a Monday, but that's just me. Anyways, you'd think I'd be looking forward to senior year, but it's another nine months in school. I hate school, but what am I complaining about. I get out an hour and half earlier than everyone else everyday, and on minimum days, I'd be home at like eleven.

No, I am complaining because prison is prison. The only thing that separates us is uniform, and then again, some schools have them. If you've decided to ignore me, okay, I don't care. I like to gripe, especially since school's coming up so soon, and until I save enough money for my laptop, almost no time on the net. Oh, well, c'est la vie. In conclusion (for those of you who stuck around and want to see one) SCHOOL SUCKS AND I SHOULD HAVE SKIPPED A GRADE SO I WOULDN'T BE GOING! Thank you!

Ah how refreshing another school hater just like me ^_^ the world makes since once again today I ran into someone who well it still pains me to talk about it but they they like school sob this is why I have nightmares and wake screaming that and the fact that I've given up ben and jerry's ice cream it's sickos like the one who told me they like school who make me lose faith in the world they are just out to confuse small children and make the insane even crazier I think they should be tied to the flagpole and have dirty erasers throne at them that would teach them what's even more unfair is that I've already started school I have to go all day and I'm only a freshman so 4 years left oh well I guess if I take all advanced then my last year I'll only have to take electives and English all day cause I'm not gonna do advanced English that way I can maybey get time off in the morning and sleep till noon everyday like I've always dreamed of that is my lifelong ambition a little crazy perhaps but everyone has a dream

I have all electives and my advanced English class this year. School still sucks though. It should be outlawed or something.

hey! I'm going into senior year also! yes, school does suck, and for the crap you have to deal with (overcrowding, underfunding, institutionalisation, bringing school home with you, and the sorry excuse for food they serve there), I think we should all get paid. It's not as if we're learning anything...

School wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for all the HOMEWORK. I mean, what is the point of it? You don't learn anything at home, and sometimes it can just make you even more confused if you didn't know what you're doing during the day. Homework is just something that gets in the way, makes us even more tired the next morning, and stresses you out. DOWN WITH HOMEWORK! Thank you.

Totally agreeing with you, NYC and Corrupt! Down with homework and serve us something edible! I've gotten food poisoning from school food just this last school year, so I think I have room to complain.

only once last year? it's a seasonly thing for the students of our school... we can actually taste the difference in the food after the health inspector has inspected the area earlier that day...

It was the one and only time I ate in the cafeteria last year. After that, lunch became creative for me. I don't care what my teacher said, hot cocoa and Reese's peanut butter cups are good for lunch anythime of the day.

Hot cocoa and Reese's cups? I don't remember hearing about THAT one...

hell, I survived my first period physics class on bagels and Dr. Pepper! not that that's the most healthy breakfast in the world...

Sure, Corrupt. Reese's, M&M's, Sun Chips, any thing not from the cafeteria. I'm telling you, I went in there one day and I saw the food crawling around. My teacher tried to tell me I was going to get worms from all the candy I ate in her class. No, I believe the worms would've came form that junk they call food...

Oh, yeah, and I'd totally love it if I had skipped a grade. I don't even turn seventeen for another month and a half so I'd get a whole year home to myself before I ever went to college.

Oh, yeah? At my school it squirms and tries to attack you, so I've been living off Pizza Hut pizza, Crazy Bread, Dr. Pepper, cookies, assorted junk from the Student Store, and the occasional donut if class is gonna be extra-boring and I forgot to get a sugar rush at home...

...speaking of which, I have to leave in an hour or so to go to orientation & get I.D. pictures. Yuch.

orientation? we just drop the new students in the lobby and hope they can find their way to their next class before the semester ends...

That's what they did to me when I was a freshman in Delaware! Then I still had to take a bus to my first period class, so guess what happened if I missed it...

No, no. Orientation here is a long, grueling process in which you stagger around on a hot day that's still technically summer vacation, get your schedule & books, stand in a long, long line out in the hot sun waiting to get pictures for your ID and the yearbook, and stagger back home. Then, on the first day of school, they dump you in the quad, assume you know what you're doing, and give you a completely different schedule that's usually missing a class or something of that sort.
It's much more complicated than just dumping the students in the lobby...although that might be a bit more efficient.

They messed up so many people schedules at my school that the teachers couldn't give us any work for a week cause they didn' know who was gonna be in what class the next day and are school is 9th grade only so that's pretty sad.As to the food well I've brought my own lunch since 3rd grade and I wasn't even a vegitarian at all then it's just disgusting I couldn't eat there if I wanted to now cause they are totally vegan unfriendly I just bring a lunch or get something from the candy machine not healthful but I don't always have enough time to pack a lunch plus we can't drive on campus so we have to take the bus and the bus driver is a minion of the devil or something she hates kids and she can't drive she goes over curbs and stuff

You get your ID's before school starts? We get ours, like, the third week of school. As for schedules, I was missing a class but I have no counselor to fix it. So now I say it looks pretty darn good to me because I don't feel like putting up with a stupid counselor who's probably only been around for two days!

They put me in computer science and I probably know more than the teacher cause all that happens is we learn how to paste and cut and stuff I've been using more complicated computer stuff than that since I was like three and I can even type pretty fast so what's the point I guess I should be glad cause its an easy A
