You have spoken on my behalf a couple of times and that is very kind of you to do that.

While I do really appreciate it, I also feel a little wobbley about someone sticking their neck out on my behalf and would say that discussions such as the ones that we have been having are typically fraught and often get overblown out all proportion and that is perhaps something you should be aware off.

And really don't want to say anymore on that if that is ok on account of digging myself a deep hole, with a big diggery thing

Thank you for thanking me, although I was not just speaking on your behalf but because I feel the same way about those things. I actually should thank you for going out on a limb about those things and bringing them to everyone's attention. But yeah, I think more than one voice gives the message more credance.

Ah, you are right there about credability and it is great to see a new reseacher taking an active interest, whatever their views
