I just wanted to praise your piece in the Feng Shui peer review thread. If I had a decent brain that is what I would have written, apart from the first paragraph. I would try to make my living space 'compatible with human life' if I weren't living in a cluttered apartment with two other people, and if I weren't such a slob. Oh, and I posted this at your home space instead of at the thread to avoid tainting you with the 'rabid skeptic' brush.

Why thank you for your comments. I actually came to that PR thread via your conversation on the Skeptics page. I lurk there, but don't contribute there - too willing to be gullible, I guess.
Thanks for dropping by my space.

Well there was nothing in your Feng Shui post that suggests you wouldn't fit into ARS. But I understand perfectly that you'd rather just lurk, and that you're skeptical () about being associated that closely with myself. My friend Raindawn also declined membership and prefers to be a free-lance semi-skeptic.
She thought we weren't the right crowd for a good catholic girl. She's willing to be my friend anyway, I guess I should be grateful for that.
And your space is lovely, except for that nasty tag. I'm going to do a quick search now, and start an anti-view group if there isn't one already.

Well, my main squeeze is a statistician who always seems to go for crystal swinging gals, me included! And I have friends who range from the far right to the far left and back again, committed catholics, committed wiccans, committed athiests. I even expected to be able to bum a cigarette off one of my anti-hunting friends when I went on the Countryside March. Pity she wasn't there - we would have made the front pages! The way I reckon it we are all as likely to be as wrong as each other, and out only defense against that is thought, and then you find that everything is more complex and more intricate than you think.
An anti-viewer tag page? What a good idea! I may even sign up for it, mass of contradictions that I am! I used it to be deliberately unsettling, but I wanted to challenge peoples' thinking about the Friends option. I find it rather intrusive to be honest. There are a lot of people subcribed to my journal, and I feel I cannot post musings there any more. It has become a performing space. As a result I tend to use it for announcements.
Thanks again for dropping by.

Now you have the opportunity to be the second member of ViTH (A1014625), or just to comment on the composition of the page before anyone else sees it. (I will value your feedback. )
I've used the Friends option extremely sparingly. Either because I've realised after years of participating in online socialising that it's easy to be 'friends' with everyone, but that it's rarely a long term relationship, _or_ that I've become more shallowin in my online socialising.
Plus the way it gives you reminders when your friends update their journals make it more like a 'journal-writer-fan-club', which I haven't wanted to join.
Hope that made sense...

I like it! ~jwf~'s entry was intended to take the p**s out of the tag of course, as well as taking the p**s out of the form letters which over-use your name. So in many respects ~jwf~ is with you rather than against you.
What about including the words Viewer Tag in the title. I thought 'huh?' about the title when I read it.
Well done, and sign me up! (So long as I can keep on using the tag, of course!)

Yes, I figured ~jwf~ was with me in many respects, so I called it 'deliberate misuse'. I think that makes sense.
I've signed you up already, with the epithet 'devoted slave'.
And although I like titles that make people go 'huh?' I've written the name out in full in the title.
