i've been meaning to email you or post or even call for ages (i know i'm crap) but i've been pretty mad with it work's as busy as ever and then of course there's trying to save the world from itself that worked well... i don't know, if were king of the world, everyone would be happy the day you called i was in edinbugh at one of those seminar's designed to test your committment to life. i've just started a pg course in higher education administration (life on the edge) and i've got all this management b*llocks to do for (personal development plans, learning logs )

are you still coming up at easter? it would be wonderful to see you. it would be wonderful to see iain and campbell too, i missed the annual meet at christmas. well, just tell me when you were thinking of coming up and i'll see who i can round up.

its not a happy world at the moment is it?

You've changed you user name again - you seem to have taken a pragmitist stance on the whole 'is it censorship or just moving the debate elsewhere?' debate. i can't very excited about the idea that this is blatant censorship (i suppose technically it is) - but you've got to ask what is the core business of h2g2 is, if it is not to publish the views of its members? i think propaganda is going to play a huge part in this war. and somehow the administration in the US doesn't strike as the type to be open and explicit about what's happening, which makes places like h2g2 and the internet in general, all the more important. i'm reading 1984 (i started it when i was a teenager, but the print was too small - its okay i've got new glasses!) so i'm freaking myself out! and besides, don't you want to know what your friends have to say about it all?

anyway, its friday and i'm skiving (prentending to work) i'd better go and do some proper work.
