Just saw that you were online and decided to pop by and
a) say hi
b) say that I hoped you enjoyed your Melbourne meet as much as I did mine...

Hej yourself! Nice of you to pop by.
I have been hiding from the Australian threads in the most tremendous sulk. It was *such* fun and they are interesting people, and I had such a good time, that I am really cross that I am now on the other side of the world from them all. The biggest downside of travelling, that. Being on the wrong side of the world from some really amazing people.
Where else in Oz have you been? When do you go home? Did you like the Lovely Chloe?
All the best
Ben

Chloe was fine - as was the free they treated us with while we modestly studied her and the fine bar... (A929829 for details...)
I am on my way home - sitting in Changi airport enjoying their free Internet/Ethernet connection. What better than H2G2 to while away a few hours?
After Australia I've been to Singapore & KL but mostly seeing hotels, offices & airports - the "downside" of business travel. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy it (would be a fool to do it if I didn't, I actually realise...)

Changi Airport! (One of my favourites, actually, and I wrote a poem about it which I really must dig out). I really like the way airports have decent internet connections these days.
Are you going back to Copenhagen? I have spent many hours waiting for the BA fight to Heathrow to take off from Copenhagen. Retail heaven, until such time as you go through security.
Have a good flight. Do your stretching exercises, and enjoy the movies!

Yep - and I'm eager enough to get back that I'll consider flapping my arms to speed it up...
And yep, Changi is fine indeed. I usually don't spend much time in Cph airport - either I'm outward bound or on my speedy way home. But I think it's quite good as they come - was even awarded "worlds best", beating Changi, a few years back.
As to onboard entertainment, I certainly hope to see good movies on the insides of my eyelids...
Must - stomach's growling.

Just noticed on Hati's page that you confessed spending time in Stockholm & Copenhagen. If you happen to have a few spare hours in Cph, you're welcome to give me a yell

Will do. I may be working there part-time for a while, and then again, I may not! If I do, I will let you have my mobile number and we can go out for a drink. If we can rattle up another researcher we could call it a mini-meet!

Looks like I will be either in Lund, Malmo or Copenhagen this weekend, and at something of a loose end, especially Sunday.
How about meeting up then, and are there any other Southern Swedish or Eastern Danish researchers?

Santragenius V Posted Mar 24, 2003
Hmmm - might be tough
Thing is, I'm away Saturday and at least half of Sunday already & do expect that the family wants to see me when I get back.
(scouting leader weekend, I'm part of the organisers...)
But - as I hate closing off possibilities I'm going to Email you my mobile #. If you drop me an SMS when you know when you'll be where, lets see if things can work...
anyway - if i doesn't lets just hope for the next one...
As for other Danes I've got contact details for, there's Pierce - but he's normally quite a bit south of Cph - and Ottox who's a _lot_ south of Cph...
Hej (=Hi)
a girl called Ben Posted Mar 24, 2003
Well, hopefully I will be working there soon. Maybe we should arrange a mini-meet sometime in April or May.

But that would take effort and organisation!
Let's wait and see when I next get out there after this w/e, eh?

Hej, Ottox, that is great! I'll post in the Nordic Researchers page when I know if I am going to be in DK in April.
