Are you on your way to earth (as in bound FOR earth) from somewhere out on the eastern rim of the galaxy. Or are you chained to the place and unable to move? (shades of egg-bound) I hope it's the former

I thought it meant earth-bound as in bound to the earth. It is from a song about learning to fly by Pink Floyd, and re-reading the lyrics I see that they mainly mean earth-bound as in on my way to earth. The entire line is "tongue-tied and twisted, an earth-bound misfit, I"
And I was feeling trapped and crotchety yesterday, and the line seemed appropriate.
On re-reading the lyrics I see that the whole song is highly appropriate to my current circumstances. I am going to find the words and put a link in my links page to them. http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A545320
