I am not sure what this refers to - but I am always happy to cuddle.

On a different subject, I was thinking about you yesterday. I am thinking of putting together some workshops for people who want to deal with the issues of having what might be called a conscience, or spiritual beliefs, (however you wish to put it, and whatever form they take), and having or even wanting to earn a living in the mainstream of society.

This is very personal to me: re-incarnation is the only spiritual structure that makes any sense to me, I put Buddhist on the census form, and I like to do yoga and meditation. But I make my living in giant corporate IT departments, and actually enjoy a lot of the challenges that presents. But it can be very soulless: I am a closet hippy amongst the suits, but I really beleive that a lot of the suits are secret hippies too! I want to make it easier to have human / spiritual / political values in a corporate environment. Subversion from within!

In order to put together anything useful and effective, I need to talk to A LOT of people who face these issues, to find out what their particular problems are with this, and how they handle them.

I want to find out what works for people, and what doesn't work for people.

This is really early days. So far I have talked to 2 people, and I personally think I need to talk to at least 50...

Hi Ben

The was just to say thank you for your kindness and support, and for putting up with me at a time when it's been very hard to see past the pain - grief is a lot harder than I thought and even harder wrenched from the family tree and with no-one close to help me through it.

I tried to have human values in a corporate environment in my last job, and ended up leaving with a flea in my ear and a lot of pent-up . Since then a lot has happened, I'm still a wreck, and I personally can't afford to continue trying to do anything other than play the game and also go to yoga classes, which I'm looking into.

I've decided it's in everyone's best interests to forego the bilious diatribes in favour of trying to drag something beautiful out of my life. Keeping shtum is the only real guarantee I have of not getting it in the neck on a permanent basis, so I'm going to Let It Go for the forseeable. Too easy I'm finding squealing to be the instrument of my own misery, and it's not making the future any brighter.

For more reasoned opinions, I'd recommend you speak to St. Sad Mad or Bad and friends, who have a wealth of insight and a lot more common sense; or join the uksurvivor group on yahoo, generally service users but welcome non-user inquiry, as long as you appreciate it exists for the benefit of shared experience and support rather than study.

There's currently some discussion on a mutual meditation every day for the group - could Buddhism be the cure for depression? Let's hope so.
