Have you found a name for that one you were talking about?

worldcitizen3133 Posted Jun 10, 2005
Unfortunitly, no. They don't really sell them at the pet shop, and I can't really find any in the backyard.
Why did you name it that?

After a character in So Long And Thanks For All The Fish. My snails aren't from the backgarden. There african land snails. There not found in the wild here.

Where did you get them, then?
I take it that's a h2g2 book? I've only read the first... so far....

I got them at a garden shop. they only cost a quid when they're little. It's the forth book. I've just finished reading the fifth and now I'm going to read some of his other books.

OHHH...
Question for you...is it true that snails sleep most of the day? I heard that from a friend, and I was wondering if it was true.

littlepurpleprincess Posted Jun 16, 2005
Yeah. They tend to come out more at night. They wake up more if it's humid or if you give them a bath, they like that.

it's kind of like hermit crabs! I used to have one... but they aren't as cool as snails. Any other interesting facts about them that you know?

They're alcholics! They love beer because they're attracted to the yeast in it! I'm working on a guide entry about them. It's hard to find books about them as pets and stuff because not many people are interested enough to write anything and I love them so I figured it'd be a good first entry.

Oh!! That's great!!
I should do an entry about music therapy... Maybe that's what I should for myself, at least. That way I practice saying what it is. It's just getting off my behind during summer vacation that's the trouble... Oh well. You inspire me!!

Wow! No-ones ever said that to me before! I get really lazy in the holidays to. Partly because theres nothing to do but partly because I can't be bothered to find anything to do. So, your into music therapy?

worldcitizen3133 Posted Jun 22, 2005
Absolutely, totally, 150%, yes. Totally into it!! It's absolutely THE best profession, ever! Can you tell I like it?

littlepurpleprincess Posted Jun 23, 2005
It appears that you quite like it. Thats how I am with my snails only it's rather more difficult to make a profession of it.
