A work-colleague, Susan, is bringing her daughter, Becky, to have a look at Newnham tomorrow afternoon.

We had more visitors today than on the equivalent day last year, but we never do as well as the more central colleges. And we're expecting numbers to be well down tomorrow for obvious reasons.
This afternoon the central Admissions Office people were dealing with hundreds of students who didn't know whether they could get home to/via London. The colleges were asked to offer accommodation, and by 4pm 200 beds had been made available - to be allocated from a marquee on Downing Site.
We had some girls from South London who'd been staying overnight after our open day yesterday, but by the end of this afternoon they'd heard that coaches were leaving again and they were hoping to get home.
Anyway, I'll look out for your friend tomorrow! I'll probably be on duty in the Porters' Lodge or doing tours.
